New CoreDX DDS Language Bindings

CoreDX DDS v4.8 contains support for both C++ Modern and Python language bindings. These new language bindings give our customers even greater implementation flexibility, adding to the existing C, C++, C#, and Java CoreDX DDS language offerings.

The C++ Modern language binding is based on the "ISO/IEC C++ 2003 Language DDS PSM" standardized by the OMG, and is currently available to customers and evaluators on Linux x86-type targets.

The Python language binding supports Python version 2 and 3, and is currently available to customers and evaluators on Linux and Windows x86-type targets.

Contact Twin Oaks Computing if you are interested in trying one or both of these new language bindings.

Twin Oaks Computing FACE Meeting Review

Twin Oaks Computing had excellent meetings with customers at the FACE TIM in Dayton, OH last month. We discussed new available features in CoreDX DDS and received positive feedback on CoreDX DDS performance, ease of use, and robustness in embedded devices.

The Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) is a technical standard describing a common software computing environment and architecture for airborne platforms, referred to as the FACE Reference Architecture. The goal of FACE is to ultimately lower implementation costs of new airborne systems by promoting standardized approaches and processes, software reuse, interoperability and portability of applications across different air platforms.

DDS Foundation Meet and Greet in Nashville

Twin Oaks Computing, the DDS Foundation and Object Management Group (OMG) hosted an evening reception for DDS practitioners and researchers. This 2 hour informal event featured leading academic researchers discussing their work with DDS, posters of selected research projects, a panel presentation and live demonstrations.

Learn more about the DDS Foundation by visiting their website: a place where vendors, users, government institutions, and universities join together to drive the adoption, interoperability, and success of DDS across all industries.

Title: Introduction to the Data Distribution Service

Are you an engineer tasked to evaluate DDS? Looking to add DDS to your existing system? At the end of this presentation you'll have a good understanding of the DDS technology, including techniques for evaluating DDS products and getting started using CoreDX DDS in your applications.

The Data Distribution Service (DDS) from the Object Management Group (OMG) is a data connectivity framework becoming standardized in a wide range of industries and military systems. From autonomous vehicles and embedded medical devices to electrical grids and intelligence and weapons systems, DDS is found in a growing number of architecture standards and government contracts.

This webinar is a technical DDS 101, with a focus on the small footprint and easy to use CoreDX DDS product. View the video on demand
