CoreDX DDS - Data Distribution Service

Twin Oaks Computing, Inc announced today that it is developing an implementation of the Object Management Group's (OMG) Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard. The implementation, CoreDX DDS, is designed to be compliant with version 1.2 of the DDS Standard, and includes support for configurable transport services. In particular, we are exploring a high-performance backplane transport. CoreDX DDS supports the mandated Publish-Subscribe Standard in the Defense Information Technology Standards Registry (DISR) and the selected standard of the U.S. Navy Open Architecture initiative.

The CoreDX DDS infrastructure provides a publish subscribe messaging service to meet the needs of real-time embedded systems within the Global Information Grid (GIG). Twin Oaks Computing, Inc is currently conducting development spirals and internal testing of the DDS implementation. A formal release is expected in June 2008.
