New era of DDS Interoperability with CoreDX DDS

Twin Oaks Computing, Inc announces the availability of CoreDX DDS v2.0, providing multi-vendor publish-subscribe interoperability. The inclusion of the DDS RTPS interoperability wire protocol in the OMG Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard provides system developers with a new tool to meet Open Architecture requirements. With a standardized API and run-time interoperability, the difficult task of delivering a fully interoperable open system has been solved.

During the recent OMG Technical Meeting, held in Washington DC, Twin Oaks Computing featured its latest version of CoreDX DDS with support for the Real Time Publish Subscribe (RTPS) Wire Protocol. At this event, the three major vendors of DDS software (RTI, PrismTech, and Twin Oaks) successfully came together to demonstrate the reality of DDS interoperability. The demonstration highlighted the seamless exchange of data between applications built with each of the vendor’s DDS implementations. The DDS Interoperability Demonstration took place at the OMG Technical Meeting held in Crystal City during the week of March 23.

DDS has been identified as a high-performance data communications middleware component that achieves Open System goals. It provides for loosely coupled applications, with dynamic discovery, platform independence, low-latency, high-throughput, message-oriented data communications that can be tailored by a robust set of Quality-of-Service attributes. On-the-wire interoperability is the final crucial component that opens up a world of publish-subscribe applications.

Twin Oaks Computing, Inc is pleased to announce support for RTPS in CoreDX DDS v2.0. Our recently demonstrated capabilities move CoreDX DDS to the forefront of high-performance, interoperable publish-subscribe technologies.

Twin Oaks Computing, Inc is a company dedicated to developing and delivering quality software solutions. We leverage our technical experience and abilities to provide innovative and useful services in the domain of intelligence systems.
